Meemic employees donated food baskets filled with nonperishable food items, toys, gift certificates and all the trimmings to create the perfect Thanksgiving dinner. The baskets went to 17 families from Walt Whitman Elementary in Pontiac, MI.

On Monday, May 14th, we invited our most loyal Meemic Members to celebrate them. These Members have been with Meemic for 60 or more uninterrupted years.
Several Meemic volunteers visited the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency, which hosts a Head Start program in Pontiac, MI, to paint three murals in the building and improve the landscaping outside.
Several Meemic Masterpieces winners and their families, plus other art aficionados, came to Meemic headquarters to view the 50 winners and enjoy some local entertainment at our gallery open house.

The Meemic Foundation partnered with Defeat the Label and the Avondale School District to host the Rally4Change, to empower students and families as they rallied in support of anti-bullying, and creating a culture of kindness and diversity in their schools and communities.
As with workplaces around the country, several Meemic employees brought their kids to the office for Take Your Kid to Work Day. There was also pizza, snacks and other activities. Here are a few of the rugrats.
Congratulations to the winners of Souper Bowl 2018 Chili Cook-Off. Seven teams competed in several categories to raise money for the Baldwin Center, a charity in Pontiac, MI, that provides 25 programs to the local community. Together, the teams raised $630.
A team from Meemic recently had the pleasure to help package soups for sale at Motown Soup in Utica, part of Trinity Lutheran Church. The charity sells a variety of soup mixes, baking mixes and more, and the proceeds help several local soup kitchens around Metro Detroit. This year, Meemic partnered with local nonprofit Bottomless Toy Chest for our holiday fundraiser. Based in West Bloomfield, MI, Bottomless Toy Chest delivers gifts to pediatric cancer patients spending their holidays in the hospital. It was founded by Mickey Guisewite, whose son was diagnosed with leukemia.
